New Star Wars RPG - Beta Released!

Fantasy Flight Games released info on the newest iteration of the Star Wars RPG over at their site and you can order a soft back copy of the Beta for $29.95. Star Wars: Edge of the Empire is the first of three core rule books which can be used independently, or combined together to form a vast interlocking system covering the classic Rebellion era.

Each presents the Star Wars galaxy from a different point of view: the first one (final version to be released 2013) covers the Fringe (smugglers, scouts, bounty hunters, etc...) and the frontiers of the Outer Rim; Star Wars: Age of Rebellion covers the soldiers and officers from the Rebel Alliance and the Empire and is planned for 2014 release; and 2015 should see Star Wars: Force and Destiny, which covers the Force-user and Jedi aspects of game.

If anyone was at Gen Con or is currently at Celebration VI, let me know if you picked this book up and what you think of it!

X-MEN - Legacy #1: Return of Legion

Looks like Legion is returning to the marvel X-verse and it sounds like it might be cool. I have always liked the early Legion stories from the New Mutants and Uncanny X-men books. Not much more to say about this until we get more details but head over to MARVEL.com and read this interview with Si Spurrier .

Robotech Update from Palladium Books

From Kevin Siembieda - UPDATE: Robotech®

I had an excellent telephone conversation with Irvin Jackson about upcoming Robotech® sourcebooks. Robotech® Genesis Pits™ will go into final production after Rifts® Vampires Sourcebook, and Irvin is working away on two new books right now, including the Robotech® UEEF Marines sourcebook. My goal is to support Robotech® in a big a way. In addition to our plans to produce Robotech® game pieces for the mecha and spaceships, we want to see more sourcebooks. Robotech® Genesis Pits™ Sourcebook will be out this Fall (see the new description for it in this Weekly Update). I want to see at least two other sourcebooks out before spring and more to follow. In fact, I’m looking to find a couple more writers for the line.

I cant wait for the Robotech game pieces! Check out all the Robotech RPG products over at Palladium's site. Also for anyone who wants PDF versions of palladium's other lines of RPG's head over to RPGNOW

DC Comics - Demon Knights

One of the least talked about books of the new 52 is Demon Knights, I felt it was time to spread the love. Following in the old school foot steps of D&D comics, Demon Knights takes place after the fall of Camelot (the dark ages of the dcu). Jason Blood/Etrigan and Madame Xanadu team up with an unlikely group of adventurers to defend against a barbarian horde lead by none other than Vandal Savage!

With a great collection of characters including Al Jabr, Shining Knight, Horse Woman, Mordru, Merlin, King Arthur, Pandora, Questing Queen and the Lady of the Lake. There is a lot going on in every issue, including flash backs with back stories focused on certain characters. Written by Paul Cornell; pencils by Diogenes Neves and Robson Roca. All I know is that this book is always on top of my reading pile and I highly recommend you go check it out.

Following in the foot steps of Buffy the Vampire slayer, DC comics is continuing Smallville via SEASON 11, A digital weekly series. Not sure how good this series will be but I'm willing to give it a shot, mainly if they dont focus on Batman for to long of a time. But here is the story over at the DC Blog:
